Messy Church is for all ages – it isn’t just for children. It is also church, not just a craft club or play session. Through hands on activities and games we explore a Bible story together and what it means for us to live as Christians in the world. There are always questions and discussion points on each table for all ages to chat through and ponder. We share food together with tea at the end, we sing songs of praise, explore the bible teaching and pray together. There are always toys for preschool children too. The aim is for all the family to worship together in an accessible, engaging and challenging way.
Messy Church in the Beaminster Area Team is led and prepared by a team of volunteers supported by the clergy. It is every second Saturday of the month, with no meeting in July or August. We always promote the date through the website, Facebook, and our local primary schools. We meet at St Mary’s Church, Beaminster at 4pm.
