Join us in Beaminster on Saturday 16th November for a G&T and a chat.
Gin church is this Saturday, 16th November at 19:30. Location for the event is The Strode Room which is next to St Mary’s Church in Beaminster.
All are welcome. This might be the event for you if you don’t regularly come to church but are interested in talking about faith, meeting new people, and enjoy a gin and tonic.
If you would like to come do comment on our Facebook page, so we know how much gin to get and glasses to put out.
There is no charge but feel free to bring a bottle of your favourite tonic or some nibbles.
Some questions you may have:
Q: I don’t like gin, am I welcome?
A: Of course you are welcome, just bring whatever you prefer to drink.
Q: How is this church?
We are intending to talk about some questions of faith and there will be a chance to leave prayer requests. The last time we met we had the bible out to talk about sheep and goats. We will share conversation and build relationships. Seems like church to us.
Q: I come regularly to church, can I come too?
Of course you can, but this event is designed for people who might not choose to come on a Sunday morning and are interested in talking about faith in a relaxed way. If you can work with that then please come.
Q: Is it a women only event?
No, all are welcome. The last time we met we were all women, but that may have just been more to do with who likes gin and child care arrangements.
Q: How much does it cost?
Nothing, it is free. But if you would like to bring your favourite tonic or some nibbles to share that would be fine.
Q: It is going to be very serious and highly intellectual?
Ummm, no. It will be fun, easy, welcoming, encouraging and hopefully a good night out. We look forward to seeing you.
