Join us online every evening of Holy Week at 8pm for Compline – a service of night prayer.
In a “normal” Holy Week in the Beaminster Area Team we share communion every evening in St Mary’s Beaminster followed by Compline, a service of night prayer.
During this different Holy Week we are trying to join together every evening at 8pm via Zoom to say Compline together.
Every evening we will post the link to the Zoom Compline at 7.45pm at the bottom of this post and on our Facebook page. This gives you time to get ready to begin at 8pm.
In order to participate you need to have installed the Zoom application or browser plugin on your computer or laptop or tablet or phone. You will need a camera and microphone on your computer – most laptops have these built in. A tablet or phone will have these already. Download Zoom from the Android or Apple store and install it. You will need to register with your email address and a password. If you are installing it on a computer, you download it from the website zoom.us or get the Chrome Browser extension from the Chrome store.
Once you have installed Zoom, to join the prayer service you need to click on the link which appears each evening on the Facebook page or website. Clicking the link will take you straight into the waiting room for the service and then you will be invited in by the host.
To take part in Compline you will need the order of service. The simplest way is to use the Daily Prayer App (download from your App store) or use the Church of England website.
