The Beaminster Area Team
From the Hub update Friday 18th November 2022
I have had a number of people asking about arrangements for Elfrida’s funeral service. This will be next Monday 28th November at 2.00 pm in St Mary’s Church Beaminster followed by refreshments in the Sports Pavilion. We hope that many will come along to join Elf’s family in saying goodbye to her. This service will be being live streamed and I will put the link on next week’s Hub as I do not have it yet. The funeral for Jim Foster, a member of the Beaminster congregation will take place at 3.00 pm the following day, Tuesday 29th, again in St Mary’s Beaminster.
Next Sunday 27th November we are holding our annual Advent Carol service. This will take place at St Mary’s Netherbury starting at 6.00 pm. The theme will take up the theme of ‘From Darkness to Light’ and will have readings, Advent carols and anthems on this theme. Beaminster Choir will lead the service under the direction of Dr Peter Nardone and the organ will be played by Rev Peter Aves. We would love to see you at this very special and atmospheric service.
I am looking to appoint a volunteer to help with finding new advertisers in Team News. This role would be as part of the team that produces the Team News each month. In the past this has very much been ad- hoc with people just asking to advertise rather than us asking them. Due to the ever increasing costs of producing the magazine we need to find additional income from adverts as we cannot pass all the costs onto our readers.
