From the Hub update Friday 9th December 2022
Congratulations to the three churches; Broadwindsor, Blackdown and Burstock for their wonderful Christmas coffee morning last Saturday. They raised the magnificent sum of nearly £1200 for church funds. It is always a lovely event and a chance to meet and catch up with many people.
This was followed the next day with the first ever Christmas Pudding Service at Blackdown. Amidst the joviality and much stirring up we worshipped and prayed together before going into the churchyard to officially light up the Blackdown Christmas Tree which will challenge Oxford Street throughout the season.
For some time I have been praying about starting up a monthly bereavement cafe to offer support to those for whom we have given funeral ministry across the team. If you would be interested to learn more about this possible outreach venture then come along to a meeting in St Mary’s Beaminster on Tuesday 24th January 2023 at 2.30 pm. Attending the meeting does not mean a commitment to joining the team that will be needed to deliver this project.

Thank you to Marlene and her team for folding and preparing the Beaminster Church Christmas cards ready for delivery to every house in the parish. This year it was completed in record time. Thanks also to all those who have helped with the delivering of the cards.
