Rector’s Weekly Update

The Beaminster Area Team
From the Hub update Friday 13th January 2023

As many of you will have heard, Fiona had to fly back to Kenya last Sunday to support her father due to the deteriorating health of her Mother who was placed on life support in Mombasa Hospital. Please can you hold Fiona and her family in your prayers over the coming days. I have adjusted the rota for the rest of January to cover services that Fiona would have been taking and Anne has forwarded these revised rotas to the parishes concerned.

A reminder that there will be a meeting to talk about the possible forming of a monthly Bereavement Cafe on Tuesday 24th January at 2.30pm in St Mary’s Beaminster. This meeting is open to anyone from across the team and I look forward to welcoming you to share in the discussions.

An early reminder to all Deanery Synod members and Parish treasurers. The next meeting of Deanery Synod takes place on Saturday 11th February in Litton Cheney Village Hall. The speaker will be Anna Hardy the Diocesan Stewardship adviser. If you missed her at the last Team Council Meeting I would highly advise you not to miss out this time. Anna is an inspirational speaker and following her TC visit a number of our churches have already taken her advice on funding through QR codes and acquiring Card Machines for use in Church and at events.
