From the Hub update 14th May 2021
Last Monday Jo held the trial run of the new Beaminster St Mary’s Babies and Toddlers group which successfully passed by without any riotous behaviour. The group will meet weekly on Mondays between 10 and 11.30am and is open across the team, although at present we are restricted to the number of adults, but not babies or toddlers, that can attend under Covid restrictions. Therefore advanced booking is essential and if you would like to know more about the group or how a place can be booked for each session please contact Jo. Expect to see full details of the Baby and Toddler group on the website once we’re out of this initial two-week testing soft-launch.
The Annual Parochial Church Meetings continue this week at Mosterton, Broadwindsor, Blackdown, Burstock, joined by Drimpton and Salway Ash. If one of these is your parish please come along and join the fun. Notices of meetings, times, venues etc are displayed on individual church notice boards. Thank you to all who have made their meetings a priority so far and to all secretaries for the time and work they have given in preparing all the required papers for each meeting.
Session two of The Bible Course being run online by Fiona will take place on Tuesday and it is not too late to join up. There are two opportunities each week at 1pm and 7pm. If you would like to know more about the course or would like to sign up please contact Fiona.
The Community of The Annunciation Prayer Group continues to meet online each Thursday evening at 7.00 pm and welcomes new members. This Thursday will have a focus on the annual Thy Kingdom Come prayer initiative from The Archbishop of Canterbury.
Online Worship at Home video services continue even though churches are open. The online community continues to be an important part of our church. As usual each Sunday’s video service will be available on the day before.
