The Beaminster Area Team
From the Hub update 2nd July 2021
This has been an awkward week for the Team Office and Anne in particular. Due to a water ingress through the roof which got into the electrics Anne has had to work from home. This problem is an addition to the mold and mildew in the toilet over the last month. The landlord has needed considerable pressure to act. So as this problem is still not fixed I am not sure what format you may or may not see this update. There can also be no Pew News this week as no electricity means no computer or photocopier in the office.
Just a reminder that the Team Council will meet in St Mary’s Beaminster at 7pm on Monday 5th July. There are PCC meetings on Tuesday at South Perrott and at Hooke on Thursday. Under the present Covid guidelines these must be held in church if there will be more than six people in attendance.
It was wonderful to be joined by so many of you for the St Peter’s Day Holy communion and to join me in thanking God for twenty five years of ordination as a priest. A special thank you to David Shearlock for his wonderful address and to Martin Schellenberg for playing a wonderful selection of my favourite organ pieces.
Fiona will be on her training placement in the Bride Valley for the next two weeks so will not be around the team.
Hopefully normal service, whatever that looks like, will be resumed next week.
Online Worship at Home video services continue even though churches are open. The online community continues to be an important part of our church. As usual each Sunday’s video service will be available on the day before. There are weekly videos for children and schools. We hope you continue to enjoy our weekly Rev Chat podcast. And places are available for Monday’s baby and toddler group. You may be interested in joining us for a performance by the Keld Ensemble at St Mary’s Beaminster.
