The Beaminster Area Team
From the Hub update 10th December 2021
Following this week’s Covid update from the Prime Minister, please note that it is now compulsory for face masks to be worn in all public venues including Places of Worship. As I said in last week’s Hub, we should also continue to use the hand sanitiser and if you are in need of this it can be ordered through the team office. I have been asked if there are any restrictions on singing and the present rules have not been changed. The guidance over sharing the common cup at the Eucharist is that we should not do so at the present time.
Should we be notified by the National Church of any other guidelines I will pass this on to you straight away. All the updates can be found on the Salisbury Diocese website.
Events taking place in our churches this week include the Christmas themed monthly coffee morning in Hooke 10.30 am – 12 noon. There will also be the annual blessing of the community of Beaminster through Carol singing on Saturday 18th in the Square. If you can help to swell the ranks of those making a cheerful noise with angels round the throne, please appear at the Julia from 10.00 am.
I will be taking my remaining leave this week between Tuesday and Saturday and as Jo only has a few school carol services to attend the rest of the time she will be sat by her phone waiting for your emergency calls.
Online Worship at Home video services continue even though churches are open. The online community continues to be an important part of our church. As usual each Sunday’s video service will be available on the day before. We hope you continue to enjoy our weekly Rev Chat video.
