Rector’s Weekly Update

The Beaminster Area Team
From the Hub update February 11th 2022

Following on from last week and after this week’s staff meeting, we presently have the following Lent study groups available:

There will be an online course run by Fiona on Monday evening, also on Tuesday afternoons in church in Beaminster 2.30pm – 4pm run by myself and Barbara Simmonds.

A Netherbury based group run by Jackie Bush on Thursday evenings.

We hope that there might be courses in Mosterton, Toller Porcorum, and Salway Ash but I will clarify these next week.

If you would like to run one in your community please speak with me. If you would like to join any of these groups please contact the leaders named so that we can order the course booklet for you. L

ast week I informed you that Elfrida had gone into Grassington House in Dorchester. I have now been informed that she is discharging herself next Tuesday and will receive care in her own home.

There will be PCC meetings this week at South Perrott, Stoke Abbott, and Seaborough and a reminder that the Team Council meets in Beaminster at 7pm on Monday 21st.

Online Worship at Home video services continue even though churches are open. The online community continues to be an important part of our church – such as Thursday Evening Prayers and our increasingly popular Gin Church. As usual each Sunday’s video service will be available on the day before. We hope you continue to enjoy our weekly Rev Chat video. And in person in Beaminster you can join us for Baby & Toddler Group on Monday mornings and our Walk In Wednesday social gathering on Wednesday mornings.
