Rector’s Weekly Update

The Beaminster Area Team
From the Hub update March 11th 2022

Thank you to all for the thoughts and wishes sent to Jane and myself as we isolate ourselves with Covid. I guess that having escaped for the past two years our turn would come.

As I write on Thursday morning I can not start testing for clearance to return into circulation until tomorrow and then require two clear LFTs, However, whatever happens I will be clear on day ten which is next Tuesday.

It has seemed rather like lockdown without the hour’s walk but continuing to work via emails, phone calls and Zoom meetings.

I am aware that the infection is quite high across our area and that other members of our congregations are also down with it at this time, so as ever please stay safe and protect yourselves and those around you.

The first of this year’s APCMs are coming up this week and I look forward to seeing you at them (listed below). This includes the very important meeting in Drimpton at which the future direction of the church will be on the agenda with feedback from the group who have been working on this.

Finally, just a reminder that the Lent courses continue as previously advertised and it is not too late to join in. There may be spare copies of the book we are using in the church office so please contact Anne

Online Worship at Home video services continue even though churches are open. The online community continues to be an important part of our church – such as Thursday Evening Prayers and our increasingly popular Gin Church. As usual each Sunday’s video service will be available on the day before. We hope you continue to enjoy our weekly Rev Chat video. And in person in Beaminster you can join us for Baby & Toddler Group on Monday mornings and our Walk In Wednesday social gathering on Wednesday mornings.
