The Beaminster Area Team
From the Hub update Friday 23rd September 2022
Once again another thank you for all who helped facilitate appropriate remembering and mourning for Her Majesty The Queen. I found the services on Monday uplifting and emotional. There was activity on social media afterwards reminding the public that the Church of England welcomes anyone who would like their funeral service conducted in church. We can’t always promise a procession, though. The Beaminster Team has had a busy year for funerals both in church and at the crematorium, and burial grounds. We look forward to welcoming funeral families back to St Mary’s for our service of remembering loved ones on 30th October at 4pm.
We are thrilled that our team confirmation will be held on Sunday 2nd October at 3pm in St Mary’s Church Beaminster. Our eleven candidates come from Beaminster, Salway Ash, Broadwindsor, Burstock, Blackdown. and Drimpton. It would be wonderful if all the parishes from the team were there to support the young people and adults.
Moving forward we would love to facilitate a youth band and a fire pit gathering for families and young people. Messy Church and Baby and toddler group provide for our youngest members, but we hope to support our teenagers in a way that is suitable for them. Do pray for our young people and the challenges of living out their faith day by day. If you want to be involved in supporting our young people please do speak to Jo.
