The Village Pump is an informal monthly meeting that’s an opportunity for rural clergy and laity to meet to share ideas and concerns about rural life, the church, and its outreach, hosted by the Rural Field Officers.
Dear Village Pumpers.
Happy New Year!
2023 is going to be an exciting year for our Diocese as +Stephen outlines our new vision which he has been working on with staff, teams and groups across the Diocese.
I hope the Village Pump will continue to offer inspiration and a focus for rural mission this year as we also embrace this new vision.
There will be no meeting in January, but we will reconvene Saturday 4th February 9am – 10:30am and our theme for that meeting will be “How to develop a rural Mission Action Plan [MAP] for your Parish & Benefice”
This session will explore several processes that can be used with you congregations, PCCs and Benefice Councils to develop your MAP which I hope will be of use as we all look to the future as a diocese.
I will also have a full program of Village Pump meetings and themes for the coming year at the February meeting.
I will send the ZOOM link out and more information a week before the February meetings but please put the 1st Saturdays of the month in your diaries for our regular gatherings.
Blessings
