Autumn is truly here and the church’s season of creation has drawn to a close. It culminated in our Harvest Festival service on 28 September when people were encouraged to bring non-perishable offerings for the Beaminster Food Bank.
As colder weather approaches and we need to consider heating our church again, servicing of our air source heat pumps has been arranged.
Do come into our lovely church and enjoy a warm space to just be, pray or wander around. There is a children’s play area for youngsters too.
Our Parent and Toddler Group has re-started on term-time Monday mornings 10-11.30. Their sheep with letter L, as part of the town scarecrow trail, has been re-used at Messy Church 20 September, in the parable of The Lost Sheep. She was hidden in the churchyard for the children to go and search for, find and bring happily back into the church.
For anyone new to Beaminster we have a community event called Walk In Wednesday on Wednesdays from 11 to 12.30. A time to meet others, share fairtrade coffee and tea, homemade biscuits and cake, and chat.
Beaminster Big Green Day will have come & gone by now and will be reported on next month.
