We have decided to move our Fairtrade Coffee and Stalls event to tie in with Fairtrade Fortnight which is now 21 September to 4 October. So please note that our event will be on Saturday 3 October.
Snowdrops in the churchyard are a lovely sight as I write this and daffodils are starting to flower. A lovely sign of Spring. However we are waiting as farmers, gardeners, and walkers are for drier weather, so we can attend to the churchyard scarifying the moss and working on the flower beds etc.
This year there is another push to try and reduce our dependence on plastic use. In order to do this, nationally The Big Plastic Count week is 9—15 March. You can sign up to take part on – https://thebigplasticcount.com/.

There was a successful Litter pick in Beaminster early February. Please come and join future litter picks in the town. It is a great community event.
On 10 February some of us attended an excellent talk arranged by BAEG. Caroline Essame illustrated why from babyhood it is essential to experience nature in a myriad of ways for healthy brain development. In spite of the wet weather, enjoy the fields and woods watching for signs of spring and wildlife.
