Safeguarding Training

If you are part of the Beaminster Area Team and are a PCC member or help as a volunteer in any of our team activities such as Walk in Wednesday, Bereavement Cafe, Messy Church, or Toddler Group then you must complete safeguarding training. This can be done on your own online, details below.

If you have any queries about safeguarding training that you need to undertake, please speak to Barbara Simmonds, one of our team safeguarding officers. You can contact her on beaminsterteamsafeguarding@gmail.com or leave a message for her in our Team office, with Amanda, our Team Administrator on 07396 957715

Safeguarding training for PCC members and church activities volunteers

Completion of the basic and foundation safeguarding training courses is now a requirement for all members of a PCC. The highest level of training, i.e. foundation, has to be updated every three years.

PCC members may also like to complete domestic violence awareness training, although this is no longer mandatory.

The courses are available online at: https://safeguardingtraining.cofeportal.org/

You will need to complete the new account page.

There is a box at the bottom labelled “Local Reporting – allow a user with the following email address to view my training record”.

Please enter our safeguarding email address in this box: beaminsterteamsafeguarding@gmail.com

This will allow me to see what training you have completed. Please also keep a copy of the certificate you will receive by email for your own records, in case it is needed in future.
