The Village Pump

The Village Pump is an informal monthly meeting that is an opportunity for rural clergy and laity to meet to share ideas and concerns about rural life, the church, and its outreach, hosted by the Rural Field Officers.

This month as we get into the warmer weather, we will be exploring Forest Church & Walking Church, along with other forms of outdoor worship. During lockdown many churches experimented with different forms of outdoor worship, some with great success. Some have continued to develop these and others have now found congregations asking to have these outdoor services again.

For rural churches this is an ideal opportunity to do something different, which may appeal to a new group of people in your community. We will have some practitioners with us who have experience at setting these projects up and if you would like to learn more or have some good examples of outdoor worship to share, please join us at the pump

The online meeting takes place on the first Saturday of each month via Zoom, from 9am to 10.30am. The next meeting is Saturday 2nd April.
