On the Death of Her Majesty The Queen

The Beaminster Area Team

It was with great sadness that we heard yesterday of the death of our beloved Queen Elizabeth II.

As we enter a time of national mourning the churches of The Beaminster Area Team will be open daily for private prayer and reflection and candles will be available where it is safe to do so. In our village churches there will books of condolence for your private messages, in Beaminster this facility is available in the Town Hall or you may like to use the Church of England’s online book of condolence.

On Sunday state prayers will be incorporated into our acts of worship. I am presently arranging a service of celebration and thanksgiving for the life of Queen Elizabeth and this will take place at St Mary’s Church in Beaminster on Saturday 17th September at 2pm. These services, within the National Protocol, can take place anytime leading up to the funeral and for seven days after the funeral but not on the day of the funeral service.

The Queen is dead, may her soul rest in peace and rise in glory.

God Save The King
